What we do
The Dutch Business Council in Qatar supports the interests of the Dutch business community in Qatar. It does this by providing a platform where representatives of Dutch companies in Qatar and Dutch nationals representing non Dutch companies can meet and exchange information of interest to the Dutch and Qatari business.
DBCQ strives to organize 10 meetings per year, such as informal gatherings and more formal business luncheons or dinners, presentations with special guests and speakers, and company visits.
Moreover, each year DBCQ organizes the special New Year’s dinner hosted by HE the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, an exclusive event for the DBCQ members. Last but not least, DBCQ publishes yearly its Members’ Directory and offers to its members the DBCQ exclusively-designed luxury gifts.
Why we do it
Qatar and The Netherlands share common features: they are both relatively small in geography but high in aspirations, they are open to the sea, and their international trade is the basis of their wealth and economic prosperity.
It is no surprise that the relations between The Netherlands and Qatar grew and developed beyond oil and gas industry. In few years, the bilateral ties between the two countries have expanded to collaboration in several sectors such as education, sport, infrastructure, healthcare and seaport industry.
Experiencing an increase in diversity of Dutch companies and affiliates operating in Qatar, the DBCQ can add value as a platform to their activities by supporting new arrivals, networking through its members and sharing information.
