1RiyalThis months event will focus on the report Qatar Economic Outlook 2014-2015, which offers insight into the challenges and opportunities that the Qatar economy will face in the year ahead.
Our guest speaker is Mr. Christian Hiddink, part of the team that produced the report, at the Department of Economic Development of the Ministry of Development Planning & Statistics. Mr. Hiddink will first present the highlights of the report and then address questions from the audience.

After the presentation and discussion we invite you to a networking cocktail reception.

Christian Hiddink is economist at the Department of Economic Development of the Ministry of Development Planning & Statistics. He started his work in Qatar one year ago. He is specialized in public financial management & public investment management reforms, and focuses on macroeconomic and fiscal developments in Qatar. Prior to moving to Qatar Christian worked 8 years for Ecorys, a Dutch/English economic consultancy company, and 8 years for the Dutch Government in two different ministries in The Hague. He has worked in 23 countries on short, medium and long term assignments in Africa, the Caribbean, Central Asia, and the Pacific. In Doha, he uses his spare time to learn how to sail, speak Arabic, and play as many board games as he can. And ‘no’, he is not a relative of Guus Hiddink.
